About Patti

  Art has been part of Patti Andre’s life from when she was a young girl. Patti has lived in many different parts of the United States and has traveled to many countries around the world. An enthusiastic nature lover and traveler, she is always observing, learning and growing.

  As a teacher, Patti is exceptional. She teaches oil and pastel workshops and classes at her studio and around the country.

Patti has been a professional artist for over 45 years. Her work has sold extensively throughout the United States and abroad, and she has participated in many single and group exhibitions. She works out of her studio in Loveland, Colorado.

 

  "Alive" is an understatement for the vibrant, animated quality of Patti Andre’s award winning oil paintings. An element of tranquility combined with unrivaled talent has enabled this award–winning artist to seek out what motivates her and exploit her desire to create.

 

  Patti has been published in The Artist Magazine 2004, International Artist Magazine 2005, American Artist Magazine 2005, Still Life Highlights ( American Artist ) 2005, American Artist Magazine 2008, The Art Collector 2011 and The Complete Painter’s Handbook (American Artist Magazine) 2012.

 

  She is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, The National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society and Plein Air Artists Colorado. Patti is also an associate member of Oil Painters of America, Allied Artist, and Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters. She was artist in residence at Pingree, extension of CSU – 2005.

 

  Patti has studied under many wonderful professionals, Richard Schmid, Kim English, Scott Christensen, Ralph Olberg, Bruno Lucchesi, Nita Engle, Hollis Williford, George Strickland, Jim Wilcox, Albert Handell, Joyce Pike, Matt Smith, Dee Clements and Michael Lynch. In addition to the many instructors she has had, Patti studied the orangutans in Borneo, for anthropologist Birute Galdikas.
